Adaptive Surveillance Techniques
Studio Critic: Brian Ambroziak
Spring 2018
In the hierarchy of nature, the predator-prey relationship determines the fleeting decisions of each diverse meal. A being’s ability to perfect the dining experience relies on their level of comfort within their environment. One’s senses can be used to gauge their surrounding and stand guard when consuming energy. Filtering of movement and sound prove to be invaluable when monitoring the landscape for malicious entities. Humans have adapted these primitive techniques when designing our own spaces of comfort. Being truly comfortable in a space, allows for the guests to calmly proceed through the meal without threat of tension or interruption.
